Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...Two things are hard not to be thankful for: the goodness of God to us, and then God's mercy unto us.
Were it not for the mercy of God, where would we all be at this moment? Surely not here. Sometimes we reflect too little upon God, especially in the age of information, global economies and more. But reflection and meditation on God is important - one cannot seriously reflect upon God without praising and without thanksgiving. At Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to slow down, reconnect with the King of Heaven, and meditate on all that He has done and will do - He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His never-ending love is a reflection of His nature. When you really just start to reflect on His goodness, on His blessings, on all that He's done, the praises just sort of come.

Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...What does that mean? How are we the "Light of the World?"
With God within us, we have the power not only to be strong in the darkness, but to change the dark to light! Not because of anything we did or will do, but because of who He is and what was already done for us, His valuable sons and daughters. There are times in life when our circumstances make us believe that this is simply untrue. The world is very good at beating us down to the dust when we forget who we are - when we forget our identity. Don't forget whatever new surroundings and circumstances you face, the truth is still the truth. At Rhema, we use the 4 legs of our Christian Yoga system to teach and remind Rhema Yoga yogis how valuable God says they are. How they are significant. How they are powerful. How they are more than enough. And how the future will be wonderful, because our God is good and redeems all things. Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...We all have Holy Spirit, residing within us. From Him comes everything we need. We simply take time out from our lives to connect to God.
Peace comes from within. Identity comes from within. Purpose comes from within. Because deep within us lies God. Here at Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to connect to God within us, and in the process discover more about our purpose and identity as sons and daughters of the King. From there, a journey towards ever-greater personal peace is developed. Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...Perhaps my 3 biggest critics are "me, myself and I." This is true for most people in the world today as well. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, because our own standard of excellence can make us rise to new heights in life.
The problem comes after we try something and fail... from that failure, do we learn and move on, ready to tackle the world once again? Or do we dwell on our failure, decide that we are unable or unworthy to chase our goals? At Rhema Yoga, we use the concepts and teachings of Christian Yoga to instill a very important lesson: What you do after your failure is what defines you. How you rise after falling is what determines the kind of person you are. Learn from your mistakes, but don’t dwell on them. Repent, stand on the truth of who God says you are, and keep moving forward. Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...I often think that one of the reasons it is a commandment to "Love God" is because we, as humans, have such a hard time understanding that you can love someone who is invisible, untouchable and more; and yet, loving God is not only rewarding to ourselves, it is rewarding to everyone we meet afterwards.
You can't love God without loving His kids. You can't love God without blessing those around you. In most cases, our love and affection for God grows more intense as time goes by. The more you meet with someone, the more you get to know them. The more you meet with God, the more you are changed to be like Him. Young followers of Jesus are of course fully aware of the love of God and their love for Him. But that time with Jesus in prayer and meditation, that experience of God’s faithfulness during times of struggle and trial help us really begin to understand His nature. Here at Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to help people meet with and connect with God in new and exciting ways. To get to know His heart, to know His love, and more. It is through these practices that the love for God grows and matures in the life of a Christian yogi. Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...If you believe God is withholding from you, you're falling into an orphan mindset. Orphans think that other people and even God withhold favor, gifts and more. They go out to "get their own" and then protect it from the world, certain that there is a limited supply of everything. Orphans go outside of His plan and timing to experience the joy they are looking for.
At Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to identify and move away from orphan thinking. Instead, we embrace the lifestyle of a son or daughter of the Risen King. A son/daughter of God know that when you trust God, He will lead you to all good things. You'll find yourself at peace while you walk through the things you've deeply wanted. Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...Proverbs 29:23 says, "A man’s pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor.”⠀People who act and speak with humility earn the respect of those around them.
This seems to be exactly the opposite of what we see and are even taught in many parts of the world today. But a son and daughter that honor comes from the Lord, and all that comes from that is worth more than anything the world has to offer. At Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to humbly yet confidently connect with the God of the Universe. Through the teachings, practices and ideas in our practice, we learn how to practice yoga and life with a mindset of humility and love for life. Today in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Daily...How we think about God defines our realities and determines our destinies. When we learn to focus our eyes and life on His goodness, then we can clearly see everything else in the world through a new lens that more accurately reflects reality.
At Rhema Yoga, we work to use Christian yoga in way that corrects a lot of preconceived, incorrect ideas of God as less than good, or not always loving. We work with the Lord and the yogi to recreate a new, accurate lens. We then see through that lens as sons and daughters of an amazing, good, loving Father. |
