This Week in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Weekly...These days, wherever you go and whatever you watch, you often see a strong message - follow your heart. Following your heart means following what you feel is best - following your emotions.
While emotions are powerful, valuable tools, they are not meant to dictate our decisions and beliefs. Emotions are excellent tools for telling us when something seems off or wrong in our soul. Perhaps we feel mistreated, or we feel a call to protect someone or something. We may feel unheard, or more. But what is important is what we DO with these emotions. If we act immediately on our feelings, we will react, not respond. Reacting is what you do when your hand touches a hot pot - it's instant. Going through life this way is not living a full life, it is living a life of reactions without thought. What's worse, our reactions are not always right, even if they are often well-intentioned. Responding is what we can do after we feel an emotion and try to understand it, try to bring it under God's perspective, and move out of a place of hope, faith and love. Living a full life means living a life of responding to your emotions, not reacting to them. Here at Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to cultivate a lifestyle of responding out of love. The more we worship and grow with God, the easier this becomes. That is what Rhema is all about, connection to God and healthier living here on earth~

This Week in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Weekly...We are all born with some sort of fears, it seems. As it so happens, almost all of these fears seem silly to others, who in turn hold on to fears that we think are somewhat silly.
The one thing we all have in common however is a desire to escape these fears, in the quickest, easiest way possible. At Rhema, we use Christian Yoga Classes and Teacher Training to help people understand the nature of God and His heart for us. The reality is that God doesn't want to give us a quick "out" or escape from our fears. Far from it. Instead, He wants to help us grow into stronger, more powerful people. That is one of our major purposes here on earth - to grow, to learn, and to overcome. With Him, this is all possible~ This Week in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Weekly...How often do we hear this, think we know it, and then go about our day doing it anyway?
When we live by the praise of man, we also die by the critique of man. This is not something that makes us powerful people, changing the world and acting as a light! Here at Rhema, we use our system of Christian Yoga to help people understand that only God can fill the "God gap." Only through seeking his approval do we find fulfillment. Only in looking up are we able to change the world around us. This Week in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Weekly...So often in the world today, we overlook the small things in life - either the small blessings or the small challenges. Often, these things seem inconsequential, or annoying.
However, the way we appreciate small blessings dramatically affects our happiness. The way we steward small responsibilities dramatically affects our character. When we appreciate the small things, we train ourselves to prepare for large, more important things in life. This is because our character and integrity grow. Think of small blessings, challenges and responsibilities as training for the larger things to come. They are your "workout" and "training" for the "real stuff" that everyone pays attention to and remembers. At Rhema, we teach that those who are faithful in small grow stronger as people. Two major reasons is because their character grows and their happiness grows. Happy people of good character are strong indeed! This Week in the Rhema "Christian Yoga" Weekly...How do we lead? How can we be a light in the world? What makes someone influential in the world?
Is it power? Money? Charisma? Many times, those three things attract a lot of fans and followers, but they don't spread light, life and more. People flock to hope, healing, life and love. If you want to lead, spread hope. If you want to spread light, spread hope. If you want to bring healing to people in the world today, spread hope. For a Christian, this is easy if we know the Father. From him we have our hope for a lifetime of eternity in heaven. At Rhema, we use Christian Yoga to get closer to our Heavenly Father as his children - this relationship brings hope, healing, life and love to our lives, and allows us to naturally spread these things to those around us as well. |
