HOW DO YOU STUDY THE CONTENT?
To study for the R-RYT100 certification, you rent the courses in modules. There are six total modules, rentable for 3 months at a time for $200 each. Be sure to note that you must complete these courses within 3 months. When you have completed all of the modules, there is a report that must also be completed and sent in to Rhema staff for review. After all videos have been passed and your report has been graded as satisfactory, you will be certified with the R-RYT100 specification.
WHAT MAKES OUR TEACHER TRAINING DIFFERENT?
Rhema Yoga Teacher Training is dedicated to providing a skillful training with emphasis on deepening one’s personal relationship with God.
We aim to train each aspiring teacher/student to become an effective and authentic vehicle for the teachings of our unique system of yoga. Our course is the perfect starting point.
WHAT "STYLE" OF YOGA DO WE TEACH?
We teach "Rhema Yoga," which is it's own style, unique from Hatha Yoga, Hot Yoga or any other sort of yoga. The key difference between Rhema Yoga and other systems is that we invite the presence of God into our practice. We are about developing a spirit of sonship through encounters with God.
Originally informed by some of the best yoga teachers in Northern California, the 200-hour Rhema Yoga training program teaches developing practice, technique, and methodology. It also develops within the student a skill set for breathing exercises and meditation. This program is comparable to any other Registered Yoga Training course but is not yet registered with the Yoga Alliance - we are investigating this process before deciding if we will go ahead with registration with the Alliance or not.
With this certification, you are fully equipped to teach yoga to any enthusiast, and to lead them into an encounter with God in the process. With emphasis on careful alignment, stability and freedom, our graduates come away empowered to change lives.
HOW IS THE COURSE STRUCTURED?
You can anticipate 6-10 hours of time commitment per week, including time doing postures or meditating, listening to teachings, reading, and studying resource materials. Online study groups are created each year, and this is where we begin to see communities of Rhema Yoga teachers emerging around the country.
