Christian Yoga - Rhema Yoga
Hey, beautiful soulsI’m so excited to share a fresh message with you today: “Compassion Is Your Strength.”
This one’s all about embracing the kind of strength that doesn’t roar—but instead, leans in with love. In a world that often confuses power with control, or strength with dominance, Jesus shows us a better way: compassion. And when that compassion flows from the New Covenant within you, it becomes your greatest source of power. Compassion Is Not Weakness—It’s Christlike Power At Rhema Yoga, we talk a lot about transformation through Christ. One of the most radical transformations you can experience is learning to live from compassion instead of criticism, from mercy instead of pride. Jesus wasn’t “soft.” He was the most powerful man who ever lived—and yet He wept, He healed, He forgave. He loved with such reckless grace that even His enemies couldn’t understand it. That’s strength. That’s the kind of strength the Holy Spirit wants to cultivate in you. Strength in Stillness, Power in Presence During our yoga practice, we often enter into stillness—physically, mentally, spiritually. And it’s in that stillness that the voice of God often speaks most clearly. The world tells you to push harder, be louder, prove yourself. But in Christ, your identity is already secure. True strength comes not from striving but from abiding. The more you rest in His love, the more compassion becomes second nature. It shows up in your conversations, your reactions, your prayers. It flows out of your spiritual center like living water. How Compassion Transforms You—and Others Let’s be real: it’s not always easy to be compassionate. Sometimes people hurt us. Sometimes they don’t understand our faith, or even mock it. But remember—compassion isn’t about how they act. It’s about who you are in Christ. When you respond with compassion, you're not being passive. You're waging spiritual warfare with the most powerful weapon: love. You're choosing to live from the New Covenant, where mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13). This kind of compassion transforms atmospheres. It heals wounds. It breaks chains. And yes, it can even bring your enemies to repentance—not by force, but by love. Let Love Lead the Way When you’re walking through your day—whether in the grocery store, on your mat, or deep in prayer—let compassion be your guide. Ask the Holy Spirit, “Who can I show mercy to today?” You’ll be amazed at what opens up. Maybe it’s a gentle word to a stranger. Maybe it’s holding back from lashing out in frustration. Maybe it’s choosing to forgive someone who hasn’t apologized. Whatever it is, know this: every act of compassion is an act of spiritual strength. You Are the LightYou were made to shine. Not with the world’s version of strength, but with the quiet, steady flame of God’s love. That love—flowing through you—is what will draw others to Christ. Not your arguments, not your perfection, but your compassion. So next time the world tries to harden your heart, remember: your compassion is not a weakness—it’s your power. Let’s keep growing, breathing, and loving like Jesus.
