Christian Yoga - Rhema Yoga
Hey Beautiful Souls,Have you ever stopped and thought about the true essence of life? It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily routines, our goals, and our worries. But when you strip it all away, what is the deepest, most essential thing that life is all about?
At Rhema Yoga, we believe that the essence of life is to communicate love. Simple, yet profound. Everything we do, everything we say, and every action we take has the potential to communicate love—whether we’re aware of it or not. When we live from a place of love, we create a ripple effect that touches everything and everyone around us. Love: The Language of the Heart Love isn’t just a feeling; it’s a language. It’s a force that transcends words and actions, speaking directly to the heart. In yoga, we often talk about connecting with our true selves, aligning with our hearts, and living from a place of authenticity. When we do this, we begin to communicate love effortlessly. It becomes a natural extension of who we are. Jesus said in John 13:34: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." This isn’t just a suggestion; it’s a command. Love is not only the foundation of our relationship with God, but also the foundation of how we interact with others. The way we speak, act, and show up in the world is an opportunity to communicate the love of God. Communicating Love Through Action Love isn’t just about what we say, it’s about what we do. In yoga, every movement, every posture, every breath is an expression of love. It’s the love we have for ourselves—our bodies, our minds, and our spirits—and the love we offer to the world around us. But love goes beyond just the physical. It’s in the way we show up for others. Are you listening with love? Are you serving with love? Are you speaking with love? Every action is an opportunity to reflect God’s love to others. When we serve with love, whether it’s a small gesture or a grand act, we embody God’s heart for humanity. In 1 John 3:18, we’re reminded: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." Your actions, however big or small, can speak louder than words. By showing kindness, patience, and grace, you communicate love to those around you. Every time you act with love, you reflect the essence of life itself. Love as a Practice Just like yoga, communicating love is something we can practice. It's easy to love those who are kind to us, but what about when things get tough? What about when we're surrounded by negativity, conflict, or stress? That’s when love becomes a practice—a choice we make in every moment. In moments of challenge, we have the opportunity to decide how we’ll respond. We can choose anger, frustration, or indifference, or we can choose love. Choosing love doesn’t mean we ignore problems, but it does mean we approach them with compassion and understanding. Love is not always easy. But when we choose love—when we communicate love, even in the hard times—it has the power to transform situations and hearts. Just like we deepen our yoga practice over time, we deepen our ability to communicate love through consistent practice and intention. Living a Life That Communicates Love To live a life that communicates love, we first have to receive it. You can’t give away what you don’t have. We must first experience the love of God in our own lives, allowing it to fill us up so that it overflows into the lives of others. When we understand that we are loved deeply and unconditionally by God, we begin to reflect that love back into the world. Everything becomes an opportunity to communicate love—from the way we treat our friends and family, to the way we interact with strangers, to how we speak to ourselves. In Romans 5:5, it says: "God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." This love is not just for us to receive—it’s meant to flow through us. When we embrace this truth, we start to see every moment as a chance to reflect love, compassion, and grace. A Simple Practice of Communicating Love Here’s a practice to help you live with intention, communicating love in your everyday life:
Communicating Love: The Key to Healing and Transformation When we live from a place of love, we begin to see the world differently. We start to notice the beauty in others, the grace in each moment, and the sacredness of life itself. Communicating love is not just about making the world a better place—it’s about transforming our own hearts in the process. The essence of life is to love and to communicate that love freely. Love heals. Love connects. Love transforms. So today, I encourage you to live from a place of love. Speak with love, act with love, and show up with love. The world needs more of it—and the best part? You already have everything you need to give.
